Begin With What Is Claimed
List every checkable assertion in the proposal: employer and designation, qualification and institution, income indication, residence, family composition, prior marital status and immigration position.
Everything else — temperament, intention, compatibility — is judgement, not verification. Keeping the two apart prevents an enquiry from drifting into speculation.
Verify at Source, Not by Document
A certificate is a copy of a claim. Confirmation comes from the awarding institution, the employer's records and the relevant registry.
- Designation and tenure as recorded by the employer, not as described
- Qualification confirmed with the university or institute directly
- Residence and household composition confirmed locally
- Litigation and matrimonial proceedings in relevant jurisdictions
- Financial obligations, guarantees and encumbrances of record
- Visa, residency and overseas employment where applicable
Protect the Relationship
No approach is made to the subject, their family or their employer. A verification that becomes known has already failed, whatever it found.
Conducted quietly, the exercise confirms an honest account as often as it identifies a discrepancy — which is precisely why it is fair to both sides.
